I think it is almost a year since I last been there. Been planning to visit her grave since last year, and finally, this year I manage to do just that. Yes, been busy with tons of work, piling up everyday. Just when you complete 1 task u get another 2. Anyway, went there with Rizal, my brother, driving. We started from KK at about 8:30 in the morning and we drive slowly to Lahad Datu. We made a few stop, one of them is my office. We’re still on Chinese New Year leave you see and a contractor called me up telling me that there’s a meeting on Valentine’s day. I have to stop by to check my fax machine. The paper on the fax machine was jammed so I let it print out first and have a look at it when I get back, So we journey on. We stopped at Ranau to have our lunch, stopped at Telupid to change driver and lastly we stopped at Kampung Paris III to relieved our self and have a drink. We arrive at Lahad Datu and went straight to Erlinna’s grave.
Finding her grave was not so difficult, I remember I have to walk about 30 metres from the entrance, and she was laid next to her great grandfather. She have two new tombstone, engraved with her name, date of birth and demise, while the other engraved "Ampunilah dosanya, ….. (I cant remember the rest).
I stop over to meet Arwah’s mom at their new home. Its seems that they were wondering if I have forgotten about them. Arwah’s little brother obviously have forgotten who am I, but he do remember his favourite drink, Vitagen, which I stop by to buy at a supermarket right after I visited Arwah’s grave. We talked about old time, what’s the family have been doing, basically catching up for that one missing year. Arwah’s mom did mentioned to me that I can stay overnight at their house if I ever come down to Lahad Datu. The invitation also extended to Arwah’s friend. So what say you? Want to come down to Lahad Datu with me? Just give me a call a drop a message, we try to find a suitable date to go there.
We head home at about 8pm and we drive slow. We arrived safely at KK at about 3 in the morning.
I think this was, as far as I know of, already search for it over the internet, the first such gathering held in KK. It was held at Pirates of Borneo Cruise Boat. Thank God it’s not the Black Pearl; we might have to scrub the deck. It’s just a boat, park at Jesselton Point. OK, the thing is, I’ve only started blogging this year, in Friendster, but these guys have been blogging for sometime now, some of them doing part time, some full time. Gosh, I wish I could get to know them before we meet, so I can at least talk to them, instead of just trying to finish the grilled lamb chop, chicken wing, prawns, fish, fried rice & noodle, salad, desert. Did I mention lamb chop? Yes, I’ve been eating lamb chops for 3 consecutive nights.
Anyway, the gathering was jointly organise by JACQ aka Caneeliea, Gallivanter aka Daniel and Lady Stiletto aka Debbie. Below are list which I copied from JACQ’s blog. I’ll try to get the confirm attendance from JACQ later on.
Confirmed participants:
Olieee message me over friendster about the gathering, and I thought to myself, I blog for pleasure only and I don’t even know all of them. Soon after that Olieee she texted me and manage to coax me to go. FYI, Olieee is one of my IRC friends in #Jesselton a few years back. Anyway, we promised to meet up at Jesselton Point at about 7:30pm. Because I hate to go through traffic jams, I decided to go there with my work cloth, to kill the time, I went to Centre Point to get myself a new digital camera. My dad lost mine so I need to get a new one. It so happen, lotte’ who is another IRC chat friend of mine from the same channel was going to CP to check out some books. I meet her at Popular Bookstore, accompany her to dinner; just have a drink though because I have a buffet dinner at the gathering later on; then she accompany to get my cam. Yeah, I’ll blog that little adventure later on.
Ok, I reached Jesselton Point at about 7:45pm and Olieee arrived at about 8:10pm. Yeah… janji orang Sabah hahaha. We went to register our self, met a few of the blogger, and then went to board the boat. We have our buffet dinner, get to know some of the blogger. Soon after that the boat started to move. OK, I thought it won’t be cruising at all (JACQ blog mentioned it won’t cruise). YEAY!!! I could test out my night scene function on my cam, looking over KK, over the sea. How often you get the chance to do that? While cruising, they started off with Lucky Number prize presentation, then a blogger introduction. Shoot, I have to introduce myself to them. OK, told them my name, my nickname et cetera et cetera. I guess I’ll be starting my own blog site after this; I was in my earlier plan. Soon after that we head back to Jesselton Point, have a few photo sessions before we depart. I think most of the blogger went home, the rest went clubbing. I would love to join them but I was to tired, reason being I slept at 3 in the morning d same day. Maybe next time. I’ll upload some of the photo on my album, so check that out later.
By the way, if any of you ever heard of giuk.net; a site which list down all Sabahan blogger, the owner was there, Mr. Badak, also the owner of sabahrhinos.com
I was driving back to my home when I thought to myself; let’s try out the lamb chop at Eddie’s Corner in Heritage Plaza, Lintas. A few of my friends said that they serve the most scrumptious lamb chop over there. So there I was, waiting for my lamb chop that I’ve order, with iced lemon to wash it down with, a growling stomach and apatite to eat a whole lamb. The place was a simple coffee shop style, was called Eddie’s Corner because it’s just a corner shop. I was looking around to find the shop’s signboard and its says, "Restoran Eddie". Cheehhh!!! Alas, my order arrived. You know what, as far as I remembered, I never had a lamb chop this much. The lamb chop was the size of my USB floppy drive times three, together with fries and mixed veggie. I know I couldn’t finish this. This coming from someone who just said he could eat a whole lamb. What makes this lamb chop delicious was the gravy. It’s a bit different from what I tasted before, so great was the gravy that even my shirt took a whip of the gravy. Yeah, I squirted a bit of gravy onto my shirt. Told Angie that I finally manage to go there when she suggest me to get Combo. So naturally, a few days after that I went there again and have myself a Combo. Its chicken and lamb chop combo actually, grilled and chopped into pieces. I have to say, I prefer the plain lamb chop. Man, two lamb chops in a week, there goes my cholesterol level watch. Mind you, if you guys ever wanted to go try out the lamb chop there, try not to go there on Tuesday or Friday. The car park was full, because of a Direct Selling gathering; this was confirmed by a friend who is a member. Yup, I went there on Tuesday and Friday. No wonder I couldn’t get a parking. Am going there again, anybody want to join me?

Today was a great day for me. I’ve attended an old friend’s wedding at Dewan SESB. Rizal Zamani Idris, knew him from primary school, sat in the same class, same group table, we played trumpet for our school band. Whoa, talk about fun memories. We were re-united 5 years back along with Sabariah and Ramizah. Today it’s a different thing. After about 19 years, we were re-united back with other ex-school mates, Rina, Norazah, Wirdiyanty, Azlina, Rezwan, Awg. Mohd Faizal, Sabariah, Katarina and Ramizah. Imagine that, most of us still remember names even after all those years. I forgot one or two faces, sorry about that. It was great to be able to meet up with them. As usual, some got taller, some got wider, and most of us are still SINGLE!!! I think it has got to do with The Year of The Dragon thingy. The peak moment of the wedding day was when the girls saw Eizlan Yussof. Yes, the actor and model, in person. He was Rizal’s best man. I didn’t notice him at first. Yes, we managed to get a few photo, still waiting for my friends to upload it in their friendster photo album. We continue on after the wedding catching up old times, only the singles. We don’t have commitment to attend to. Gosh, all of those fun memories. We chat until about 3pm before heading back home. Just when I reach home I got a message from a friend to meet up. We promised to exchange our Anime Collection. I lend her my Full Metal Alchemist CD and borrowed her Bleach CD. Also managed to copy final three Heroes episode. Also copied Chronicle of The Wings anime for my sister. We chatted for about an hour or so at KFC Putatan before heading to our separate ways. Kewl, now I got the complete set of Heroes, Bleach and Chronicle of The Wings. Thanks Zizie!!!
As usual, I get off from my office late. Hate going through traffic jam. In my case, I have to go through three jams, Luyang, Lido and the last and the worst, Petagas before reaching my home at Putatan. Imagine having to spend 1 hour to reach your home. It’s driving me mad!!! With all those stupid KK driver. Stupid!!! Stupid!!! Stupid!!! Chat up with my colleague until we adjourned at 6:30pm.
While I was walking over to my car, I suddenly have this craving for Bakso. It has been a while since I had one. What the heck, not doing anything anyway. Just when I reached Likas roundabout, it’s started to drizzle, and its aready raining by the time I reach Wisma Perindustrian roundabout. Shoot!!! Should I continue? I’m half way there already. What the heck, just go there and ‘tapau’. When I reached Wisma Merdeka traffic light, the rain had stopped. Whoopie!!! Parked my car near Segama pedestrian bridge, which is where the Bakso stall is located, ordered for myself one Bakso Campur. You only get meat ball on Bakso Biasa. With Bakso Campur, they put chicken feet together with the meatball. Now I never liked chicken feet before, not until I tried it with this particular Bakso. Just when I was a quarter way enjoying my dinner, it’s started to rain again. Drizzling at first, and then was pouring heavy. At that moment I feel like one of the character in “Aku Hidup Dalam Blues”, just don’t give a damn if its rain or not. Nothing is going to stop me from finishing my Bakso. I did change place though, the rain was getting into my Bakso (or was it from the overhead bridge?). Finished my Bakso, paid for it and left. Went back home after that, get myself a hot bath, write my blog for today. Hang on, have a little stomach ache. Was it the result of eating Bakso mixed with rain or *gulp* water from the overhead bridge. Oh what the heck. Aku Hidup Dalam Blues, just for tonight. Need to get back to my futsal project, which is way overdue.
Its 4:30 a.m. in the morning, and I can’t get back to sleep. That’s the problem with me. I wake up early. Sometimes too early, way too early. Some people said that you can have a youthful look if you wake up early. Hmm, that explained why people thinks I’m 25 when I’m ACTUALLY 31!!!
There’s no point trying to get back to sleep, might as well read a few emails. I opened up my browser; got 2 new RSS feed notification. It’s from Aporn and Vira. Kewl, new blog entries. Aporn misses home, well who doesn’t. I would too. When you’re in Dubai, where the food is just about the same everywhere, you sure miss foods back home. Makes me glad we have so many variety of food in Malaysia. I sympathize with you pall. But I sure like to try out those Hummer hehe. Vira? Well, Vira is in love, but she’s afraid to commit, well not yet. I think it is mostly because of her recent break up. Or maybe she’s just want to keep her option open. Or could be she’s enjoying her single life first before committing to someone. I got this to say, which I got from someone long time ago. You cannot avoid love. When it comes, it will come. If you’re asking who Vira is, she is someone whom I recently make friend with near my workplace. We share the same staircase to work. Yes, she is cute, and yes I did asked her out for dinner, nothing too fancy, just a get to know dinner. Don’t get any ideas; I too still want to have my option open. Just because I’ve recently lost someone doesn’t mean I want to jump into a relationship with the next girl I meet. Live a little. And no I’m not going to follow my list 100%, it’s just a guideline, just something for me to use my head as well my heart. By the way, thank you Angie for the leather bracelet. Loved it very much
Now I’m bracelet buddy with Kaesen (remember Chandler & Joey in Friends?) Uhh, this geek need to get ready for work. Chuuunnn!!!! (Hmm… somehow it sounds better when you heard that from the GT Girls on Hitz FM)
When you cut yourself, just take out a bandage to fix it. If you got a dent on your car, just send it over a workshop to have it fixed. If you broke your laptop, just send it over to me and I’ll definitely make it even worse. Hahahahaha!!! But what if you got a broken heart? Can you have a mechanic to fix it? Can you just get a bandage and cover it up? Me? I would probably even make it worse. I’m a heart breaker. Yeah right!!!
There is one thing that I know off that can mend a broken heart, which is time. Time will mend a broken heart. From my own experience, it does hold some truth. The thing is you also need to accept the fact that everything happened for a reason, and never question it, never look back. Friend and family also help. In my case, I got a friend who help me realised what had happened and help me get back on my feet. The same friend who also helped me to get my eyebrow pierced. Yes ladies and gentlemen, I got my eyebrow pierced. Grew my hair long, and at one time I was called "Jurutera yang terlampau". I was fun!!! I was having the time of my life.
The best thing that I get from my healing process is that it completely change my perspective about love, changed my personality, it also led me to my late fiancé. Having a broken heart is not at all a bad thing. It is part of learning process. Take chances and don’t be afraid of getting hurt again because time will heal it again. While you’re at it, please, enjoy your single life. As for me, because of my pass experience, I learned to heal fast and ready to take a chance. Cheerio!!!
